Developers Cheng and Jan Lim have proposed a 19-unit rental building on Convent Place just east of Quadra Street.
|
The proposal, designed by Victoria-based Hillel Architecture, envisions a five-storey low-rise at 933 and 935 Convent Place comprised of mostly two-bedroom residences. If approved, the building will replace a duo of single-family-dwellings currently occupying the properties. Parking capacity will accommodate 17 vehicles.
The Lim’s proposal is in the early community engagement process.
Immediately west of the proposed development site, Analogue Developments is in the throes of demolishing a 34-unit, 1970’s-era apartment block that will be replaced with a new-build fronting onto Quadra Street from Southgate Street to Convent Place. Analogue’s plans include four townhomes on Convent Place and 76-units of apartments in a six-storey building.
Construction is earmarked to start this year. C
