The Bubby Rose’s chain of bakeries is expanding to three locations, a move that comes on the heels of the sale of its café-style eatery in the Cook Street Village and the nearby opening of a second bakery.
Bubby Rose’s Bakery & Nosherie is set to open this summer in a space formerly occupied by a Serious Coffee franchise at 103-225 Menzies Street, between Michigan and Toronto streets, in Victoria’s James Bay neighbourhood. The business will be located next to several retailers including a BC Liquor Store.

Earlier this year Bubby Rose’s opened a bakery in the 200-block of Cook Street one block south of Bubby’s Kitchen, which sold to the operators of The Village Restaurant, a chain of Victoria brunch hot-spots with locations in Old Town, Oak Bay, Royal Oak and Gordon Head.
The new Cook Street bakery and Bubby’s Kitchen are themselves situated several blocks south of Bubby Rose’s Bakery & Cafe, at 1022 Cook Street, which launched the business in 2002. C
