Following two public comment sessions at Victoria's City Hall and a special council meeting held on May 3rd, the City of Victoria has approved Abstract Development's proposal for a residential development on the Victoria Truth Center lands at 1201 Fort Street.
Comprised of 77-units between two condominium buildings and a nine-unit row of townhomes, Victoria council sided with development plans to build a four and six-storey complex along the busy Fort Street corridor situated within the City's tony Rockland neighbourhood.
Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps voted to support the project, as did councillors Thornton-Joe, Lucas, Alto, Loveday and Coleman. (additional votes to be updated)
Marketing for the development – which will encompass one, two and three-bedroom condominium residences along with multi-level townhomes with frontage onto Pentrelew Place – will begin this spring. Construction is expected to follow by late this year or by early 2019. C
