Trillium Communities’ expansion of its Highgate Lodge seniors residence on Cedar Hill Cross Road at Cedar Hill Road will include a four lane bowling alley as part of the project’s amenity offerings for residents.
The novel recreational option will not be open to the public, however, and will be intended for the sole use of residents and their visitors.
But the perks won't end there. The project, known as
The Terraces at Highgate, will also feature an in-house pub and a café to help round out an evening of competitive bowling.
Overlooking the intersection, The Terraces will rise to six-storeys and contain 102 seniors apartment units catering to a wide range of services that include assisted living options and complex care.
The proposal is currently making its way through the municipal planning process and is expected to receive approvals later this year or in 2020.
Trillium Communities operates ten seniors facilities throughout the Capital Region, Shawnigan Lake, Nanaimo, and Abbotsford.
West Shore Village, a newly opened 50-suite residence along the 300-block of Wale Road in Colwood, is the organization’s most recent development to complete and the first of two phases of seniors housing at the property.
