A mixed-use residential, office and commercial development at the nexus of Victoria's Westshore and urban core has marked a major milestone this month.
Eagle Creek Village, currently under construction and comprised of approximately 100,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space, 76,000 square feet of office space in a five storey building and as many as 160 residences, has successfully leased 85% of its ground floor retail spaces with "more offers in the review stage," according to developer Omicron's development coordinator Matt Dixon.
Situated across the street from the Victoria General Hospital at Helmcken Road and Watkiss Way, Eagle Creek Village is positioned to absorb pent up demand for medical offices and services associated with the health care industry and the needs of View Royal's growing population. Confirmed retailers at Eagle Creek include Tim Horton's, Subway, Starbucks, Cobs Bakery, Cascadia Liquor, Dollar Tree, Bosley's, Great Clips, Forbes Pharmacy, Western Financial Group, a YM/YWCA and the anchor tenant, Quality Foods.
The project's residential component is a 60 unit market rental offering one and two bedroom homes. Future phases, which will be marketed as a separate project, will be comprised of up to 100 market condos in two four storey buildings situated on a rise above the commercial and rental components. The first condo, known as The Viewpoint, is envisioned as a 40 or 41 unit one and two bedroom woodframe while planning is currently underway on the second building. C
