Langford’s mountainside community of Westview is readying for a grand opening event on November 19th, celebrating the project’s third phase completion.
Westview’s third phase on Obsidian Place consists of 28 executive detached view homes and seven up-market view townhomes (see website). The single-family-homes are over 75% sold and ready for possession before Christmas in layouts ranging from approximately 2900 to 3500 finished square feet, including legal suites. A select number of townhomes remain available.
“We’re excited to have reached such a significant milestone ahead of our grand opening event showcasing move-in ready homes at Westview, and unveiling our Homes for the Holidays promotion where we offer a $5,000 VISA gift card* for all new sales, and quick possession on select homes as well,” said Mike Hartshorne, the lead agent of Victoria-based real-estate group South Island Home Team at Royal LePage.

Perched on the side of South Skirt Mountain and adjacent to the Bear Mountain year-round golf and leisure resort area, the Westview neighborhood is accessed off Bear Mountain Parkway, and features some of the most awe-inspiring views in the Capital Region, with unobstructed vistas towards the Salish Sea, Olympic Mountain Range, Sooke Hills and downtown Victoria.
View townhomes start at $1,099,999 and span up to 2,258 square feet with double garages included, while single-family-homes still available for purchase are priced from $1,399,999 with layouts of up to 3,129 square feet, including a legal suite.
Situated in a central location close to shopping, schools, recreation and year-round golf at Bear Mountain Resort, Westview has garnered significant interest among homeowners seeking a quintessential west coast neighborhood only minutes away from a thriving commercial hub. The development’s hillside setting is a blend of spaciousness uncommon among new subdivisions, with the conveniences of traditionally higher density areas available close by in downtown Langford, one of the fastest growing employment and retail nodes in the country.
Hartshorne says Westview’s desirable location and its large floor plans make every home suitable to growing families, young couples in search of an executive view property, and retirees who wish to be close to retail amenities and year-round outdoor activities.
“Whether you’re looking for a spacious home that also includes a mortgage helper, plan to have family visit and would like extra room, or you’ve outgrown a smaller residence, Westview has options for all lifestyles, with proximity to retail destinations like Costco, Belmont Market, The Market on Millstream and a multitude of small businesses throughout the Westshore. Plus, there is a world-class golf and an all-year tennis facility just minutes away at Bear Mountain Resort.”
Westview’s Home for the Holidays Grand Opening event with food, drinks and giveaways will be held on November 19th at 1403 Flint Avenue from 1PM through 3PM. The first 50 visitors will receive a Holiday surprise, and select homes sold will receive a $5,000 VISA gift card.*
Hartshorne and his team, meanwhile, will also be holding a Grand Opening event one week later at their Royal Bay Homes collection by South Island Home Team, where a boutique collection of seven remaining single-family-residences are nearing completion at 360-372 Tideline Lane. Additionally, three single-family-residences with suites have been released for sale at 3326, 3330 and 3334 Sandpiper Street.
The vibrant community of Royal Bay is a rapidly growing node of housing, retail services and cultural facilities near Colwood’s Salish Sea waterfront. Royal Bay Homes by South Island Home Team start at $1,149,999.

“If mountainside living is not your style, Royal Bay is the West Shore’s answer to amenity-rich oceanside living that will soon benefit from a retail centre including a Quality Foods grocery store,” Hartshorne said, adding that the “location is second-to-none for families, working professionals, and a perfect option for retirees looking for a home in Greater Victoria.”
Tideline Lane’s single-family, two-level layouts (see website) are completing by year’s end and into 2023, with move-in ready options available.
The Home for the Holidays Grand Opening event will be held on November 26th at 372 Tideline Lane, from 1PM to 3PM. Snacks and giveaways will be on-hand, and the first 50 people in attendance will receive a holiday surprise.
