A second Tim Hortons coffee shop between the Capital Region and Duncan is set to open along the Trans Canada Highway on a site formerly occupied by the Cowichan Valley’s infamous Galaxy Nite Club, Citified has learned.
Long-rumoured as the future tenant of the vacant property at 4790 Trans Canada Highway and Bench Road (north of the Koksilah Road highway crossing), the upcoming Tim Hortons will include a drive-through component and a modern dine-in space. The location is expected to open this summer.
On the south Island Tim Hortons has set its sights on its first location west of Langford in Sooke along the 6000-block of Sooke Road. Although site preparation had
begun late last year, little has happened since and the eatery may not open until late this year or next year. The Sooke Tim Hortons was initially expected to get underway by the fall of 2016 with completion by early 2017.
