Aquara seniors condo and rental complex to get underway at Vic West's Bayview Place community

An age-in-place seniors condominium and rental complex in Victoria’s Vic West neighbourhood will be getting underway by early July, Citified has learned.
The 161-unit Aquara development at the Bayview Victoria master-planned community in Vic West's Songhees district will feature 50-units of condominiums, 76-units of purpose-built rental apartments and 35 Licensed Care suites.
Planned for a rocky outcrop south of Bayview Victoria’s 11-storey Bayview One tower, the five-storey Aquara will overlook Kimta Road between Tyee and Songhees roads and mark the fourth phase of Bayview Place.
Vancouver-based developer Element Living recently issued notices to nearby residences confirming rock blasting and site preparation will begin by early summer and continue through February or March of 2019.
The Bayview Place community has seen significant construction activity in recent years with the 2014 completion of the 21-storey
Promontory tower that became the City of Victoria’s tallest building (soon to be eclipsed by the upcoming 25-storey
Hudson Place One tower in downtown Victoria) and currently underway is
Encore, a 17-storey condominium situated south of Promontory.
Future phases of Bayview Place will additional residential towers and a comprehensive commercial node developed around the property’s E&N Railway infrastructure. C
