The Nellie McClung Library redevelopment is proposed as an 18-storey mixed-use affordable rental tower and a ground floor library branch, along the 3900-block of Cedar Hill Road at McKenzie Avenue in the District of Saanich within Victoria's urban core.
The project will provide affordable rental housing for 70% of its residences, include a deep affordability component for 30% of those homes. Of the remaining 30% of residences, units will be provided at or just below market rental rates. The development is a partnership between the District of Saanich and BC Housing.
The range of housing units will span from 200 to 210. The rary branch will be constructed at a size of 24,500 square feet to just over 30,000 square feet.
