Following sales success at Washington, Victoria-based Formwell Homes has launched its first West Shore development, this time in the South Langford neighbourhood.
Aptly named Woodrow, once complete the 58-unit townhome community (see website) will sit within one of the municipality’s most notable traditional residential neighbourhoods, off Klahanie Drive, offering homebuyers a rare opportunity to establish roots in a setting that uniquely contrasts the region’s more prevalent urban core neighbourhoods and large, master-planned developments.
Comprised of more than four acres of land and overlooking a forested setting, the Woodrow site will be home to 58 townhomes in total, including a range of three-and four-bedroom homes designed to appeal to families and couples. A half-acre naturalized park area is envisioned to encourage human connection with nature.
The homes at Woodrow build upon the company’s purpose of bettering the townhome experience for families and couples across the Greater Victoria region, by putting livability at the forefront of their design approach; aiming ultimately to bridge the gap left by increasingly unattainable single-family homes.
“Our vision for Woodrow began with an opportunity to create a closer connection to nature for families in the West Shore, with townhomes that are oriented in a manner more typically reserved for those living in traditional single-family neighbourhoods,” said Formwell principal, Sam Ganong. “The site presented a unique challenge and opportunity to create functional, well-designed homes for families, while ensuring the retention of naturalized areas. We believe Woodrow strikes just the right balance,” added Ganong.

In addition to onsite tree retention, Formwell’s corporate commitment to prioritizing naturalized spaces includes an industry-leading tree replacement ratio of 10-to-1 for every tree removed from its sites for housing. The company partnered with national non-profit organization, Tree Canada, completing its first urban reforestation project in Langford last fall.
Built over three phases, the first phase at Woodrow is slated to complete in early 2026 and will be comprised of a selection of Forestside and Courtyard Series homes, with generously sized interiors ranging from roughly 1,400 to 1,900 square feet. Every home includes a semi-private yard, separate balcony and a single or double car garage, plus driveway parking.
Designed in collaboration with local and nationally recognized interior design firm, Bidgood, homes will offer elevated design and detailing, from generous and thoughtful storage throughout, to beautifully functional kitchens, and even true full-size primary ensuites, with a separate glass shower and soaker tub included standard in most homes.
Pre-sale pricing at Woodrow is starting in the mid-$800,000s plus GST for a limited time. To learn more, visit Formwell’s website, or visit the brand new Woodrow Sales Centre, which opens to the general public this Saturday at 681 Allandale Road in Colwood. C
