Colwood-based used car dealership Galaxy Motors is readying to embark on a major expansion that will see the company relocate its flagship lot to an industrial park in Langford.

 

Westshore Parkway’s terraformed industrial plaza at Sooke Road is set to become the location of a mega dealership across several terraces of the hillside development, which is already home to a Co-Op gas station, a burial services firm and AMJ Campbell movers.

 

Galaxy’s expanded presence will allow the company to offer more vehicles and services to its Greater Victoria clientele out of a purpose-built, modern complex.

 

Construction is expected to get underway later this year and completion is slated for mid-2020.

 

Four locations strong, Galaxy Motors is one of the largest use vehicle dealership networks on Vancouver Island, boasting a selection of over 700 cars and trucks. The chain’s lots are situated in Colwood, Duncan, Nanaimo and Courtenay.

 

Langford's newly opened Westshore Parkway – a dual-lane road which spans approximately 4.5 kilometres between the Trans Canada Highway at its northern terminus and Highway 14 to the south – made the industrial park possible while providing a new bypass route that also services the growing Westhills community. Due to a rapid change in elevation at the road’s southern end, the industrial park was constructed with a series of cascading terraces that line either side of the parkway. C
