Dallas, Texas-based 7-11 via Ontario-based EXP Services has submitted a proposal for a six bay Esso-branded gas station and a 2,800 square foot storefront at the former location of Glanford Auto Service, a mechanic business that recently closed and its real-estate put up for sale.
According to plans submitted to the District of Saanich, the 7-11 is envisioned with a triangular footprint with an angled frontage facing the intersection, along with a street-side gas bar with access off of both thoroughfares.
If approved, the Esso gas station will follow in the footsteps of a rebranding of Sooke’s Shell station into an Esso, which is expected to complete in the coming weeks.
Also in planning in Saanich is a redevelopment of Fas Gas, a service station and convenience store complex along Highway 17 at Sayward Road which is planned to include a Chevron gas bar, an A&W fast food restaurant and a Gas & Go convenience store. C
