California-based burger and fast food restaurant chain Johnny Rockets will expand into Canada next year with three franchise locations, two of which are destined for Victoria.
Targeted at downtown Victoria's Bay Centre and Hillside Avenue's Hillside Shopping Centre, the restaurants will also unveil the company's new design concept dubbed Johnny Rockets 2.0. The refreshed interior and exterior branding moves away from Johnny Rockets' 1950's-era American diner motif and introduces a modern concept.
The chain's third Canadian restaurant will be situated on Howe Street in Vancouver.
According to information released by parent company Johnny Rockets Group Inc., the two Victoria locations are expected to open by early 2017.
Established in 1986, Johnny Rockets operates nearly 350 restaurants in 26 countries that collectively employ some 7,500 people. C
