A new way to buy a home in the Capital Region is nearing its unveiling by Victoria-based Abstract Developments.
The Home Store, opening November 12th at 3198 Douglas Street between Tolmie Avenue and Dupplin Road, will combine pre-sale presentation centres for one of Victoria’s most active residential developers into a multi-condominium and townhome showcase operating from a single, central location.
“At any one time Abstract is engaged in pre-sales of homeownership opportunities at several locations throughout the city,” said Mike Miller, President, Abstract Developments. “Combining our presentation centres into one comprehensive Home Store allows our knowledgeable and professional sales team to provide our clients with the opportunity to tour multiple projects before they are built, and learn about their unique attributes, all in one place.
”
In-keeping with Abstract’s focus on building immersive and true-to-life representations of pre-sale offerings as part of its sales campaigns, the new Home Store will feature fully built-out display suites, scale building models, tactile material boards, and interactive touchscreens allowing visitors to view floorplans, neighbourhood maps, project features and supporting materials.
Miller says the Home Store will have capacity for three active projects across its nearly 3,000 square foot space, making Abstract’s concept the largest of its kind on Vancouver Island.
“The ability to combine multiple presentation centres into a single location has long been our goal, considering how often visitors cross-compare our pre-sale homes and travel between sales centres,” Miller says, adding that the Home Store “is a value-add that will help with decision making, and take the guesswork out of deciding on a perfect fit, financially or otherwise.”

The Home Store’s opening on this Friday will coincide with the sales launch for Cadence, coming soon to Quadra Street at Palmer Road in Saanich. Next spring, Miller confirms, the Home Store will expand its pre-sale purchase opportunities with new projects to round out the space.
Cadence, expected to begin construction in early 2022, will be situated along a frequent transit route connecting downtown Victoria with nearby transit connections to UVic, CFB Esquimalt, the airport and ferries, and Camosun College campuses.
Comprised of 77 residences in one and two-bedroom floorplans with den options, six-storey Cadence will rise in one of the most desirable residential neighbourhoods in the Capital’s core and build on Abstract’s commitment to quality home construction at attainable price points.
