A James Bay branch of the Greater Victoria Public Library is set to open early next year at the newly-completed Capital Park development.
The 7,150 square foot facility, earmarked for the intersection of Menzies and Superior streets, will feature a variety of seating options, teen and family-friendly areas, wifi-enabled outdoor reading space, a community living room space and access to Capital Park’s inner courtyard.
An open house has been scheduled for Saturday, November 4th between the hours of 11AM and 3PM at the Central Library’s community room (735 Broughton Street). The public is invited to attend and learn more about the new branch.
The Greater Victoria Public Library currently operates 11 branches throughout ten municipalities of the Capital Region. The James Bay branch will open as the 12th location.
The newly-completed first phase of James Bay's mixed-use Capital Park development consists of government offices, rental apartments, a Red Barn Market and retail space. The project's second phase is scheduled to start construction in the coming months. C
