The final release of luxury penthouse residences at Chard Development’s Yates on Yates condominium tower have been revealed as some of the most upscale boutique homes ever presented for sale in downtown Victoria, Citified has learned.
The Yates on Yates’ collection of three 19th and 20th-floor Signature Penthouse Suites represent the créme de la créme among the Capital’s real-estate offerings with high-end finishings, expansive two and three-bedroom floor plans, private outdoor patio spaces and unimpeded views towards Victoria’s natural surrounds.
“The Yates on Yates is a culmination of every project we’ve undertaken and every best-practice we’ve developed,” says Dave Chard, president of Chard Development. “We’ve taken every effort to design our penthouse suites to stand the test of time, to maximize living spaces and to take advantage of gorgeous views of Victoria, the Salish Sea and mountain ranges beyond.”
Sized between 1,385 and 1,761 square feet, two penthouses feature two-bedroom plus-den layouts with 2.5-baths while the larger three-bedroom residence includes 3.5 baths. All three offer a minimum of 200 square feet appointed to a private patio space.
“Sub-Zero, Wolf and Fisher & Paykel combine for a top-of-the-line appliance package fitting of the solid quartz, knife-edge countertop and custom cabinetry millwork kitchens,” Chard says.

Over-height corner windows and a nearly all-glass exterior glazing create a bright, airy ambiance that Chard intimates was one of the Signature collection’s guiding design factors.
“Our primary focus was to lend prominence to the vistas beyond from all living areas and bedrooms. With views as the backdrop, we pursued floorplans with luxurious, timeless finishings, with design amenities like master suite walk-in closets, ensuites with separate bathtubs and showers, even creative storage spaces. Each home was designed as a showpiece and each room a functional, beautiful space.”
Guest bedrooms are spacious accommodations with richly catered ensuite baths, while laundry rooms include custom millwork with a high-end, side-by-side washer and dryer set by Bosch. Dual integrated pantries present a space-saving storage solution with full-extension pullout drawers.
An individually-controlled air cooling and heating system in each suite gives occupants full control over ambient temperatures, a must-have that’s particularly rare among Victoria’s highrise buildings.
Penthouse residences come with two preference-allocated parking spaces in a secured underground parking garage. Bicycle parking and a convenient storage unit are also included.
Now rising along the 800-block of Yates Street in downtown Victoria’s Harris Green district, over 80% of the Yates on Yates’ 122-homes have sold as the project’s final sales release gets underway. Occupancy is estimated for late 2020.
“Blessed with natural beauty and a city centre that is a thriving, world-class destination, Victoria is one of the world’s most desirable places to live and work,” says Chard. “The Yates on Yates will stand as one of the downtown core’s landmark towers and its residences will be synonymous with urban luxury in the heart of the city.”
