The City of Victoria has released a draft plan for the Inner Harbour’s Ship Point waterfront.
The Ship Point Master Plan, which seeks to beautify the Ship Point harbourfront located between Broughton and Humboldt streets along Wharf Street, will “implement the vision for the [Ship Point] area as a high quality waterfront park and signature events and festival site.”
Costing, detailed site design and phasing timelines will be incorporated into the final plan.
A public information and session has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 15th between 5 and 7PM at Victoria City Hall where constituents will have the opportunity to preview the draft plan ahead of its June submission for municipal approvals.
The City of Victoria began pursuing a visioning and planning process for the Ship Point area in July of last year. In September councillors had approved the Ship Point Concept Design. C
