Daycare with a million dollar view and ocean access nears completion in Sooke

A daycare with a million dollar view will open later this year along the shores of Sooke on Victoria’s Westshore.
Almost Home childcare and preschool is readying a space for approximately 40 children in a custom-built rancher on a multi-acre property with ocean access at 5229 Sooke Road east of the town centre.

The property has been under construction since early this year, with approvals for the project having been granted by the municipality following a zoning amendment process that was begun in 2017.
As part of the provincial government’s New Spaces Fund, which provided partial funding for the Almost Home complex, multiple childcare facilities are in planning and underway throughout the Capital Region in an effort to boost the number of daycare and preschool spaces on the south Island.
Almost Home is one of the region’s largest operators of childcare spaces with six locations already operating throughout the Westshore, in Saanich and Central Saanich. C
