Just months into its pre-sale campaign, construction has begun on Capital Park Residences along the 500-block of Michigan Street in Victoria’s James Bay neighbourhood.

The 113-suite condominium and townhome development marks the final phase of the highly-successful, masterplanned Capital Park community underway in Victoria’s legislative precinct since 2015.

“Following a strong response to our offering, we broke ground on Capital Park Residences on January 14 – less than four months after our pre-sale launch,” said Colleen Anderson, Concert’s Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

Offering condominiums in four and five-storey concrete buildings, along with seven concrete-built townhomes, Capital Park Residences is comprised of a varied mix of one, two and three-bedroom homes (including floorplans featuring dens) in an iconic location.

“With the best natural and urban attractions in Victoria at your doorstep, Capital Park’s location quite simply cannot be beat. You can walk to the ocean beaches of Dallas Road and up to Beacon Hill Park just as easily as you can stroll along the Inner Harbour on your way to the city’s best restaurants and shopping,” Anderson says, adding that “in designing Capital Park Residences, our intent was to create polished and sophisticated homes that align with the calibre of this premier location.”

From marble-patterned polished quartz waterfall islands to wood grain laminate and custom white cabinetry with high-end, fully-integrated Bosch appliances, the kitchens at Capital Park Residences are designed to be the focal point of each home.

And for those looking for a private sanctuary, bathrooms feature deep soaker tubs, frameless glass showers and luxury spa-inspired finishes such as in-floor heating and large-format porcelain tiles.

James Bay residents and visitors alike will have no doubt noticed the sense of community beginning to form as part of the project’s initial phases. Capital Park’s Red Barn Market grocery store and the James Bay branch of the Victoria Public Library are already open, and, Citified has learned, a Good Earth Coffeehouse is set to open in the near future.

Capital Park is a partnership between Concert Properties and Jawl Properties, developers with a long history of quality construction throughout the Capital Region. The partners have built some of Victoria’s most noteworthy residential and commercial projects, in the process demonstrating their long-term commitment to Victoria’s built form.
