Victoria’s newest waterfront dining experience is scheduled to open this spring in Vic West’s Songhees neighbourhood, Citified has learned.
Boom + Batten – coming soon to the shores of the Westsong Walkway at the Victoria International Marina – is in its final stretch of construction and interior design within one of two buildings at the luxury yacht landing.
Described as “elegant yet approachable,” the nearly 200-seat Boom + Batten will serve dishes inspired by Victoria’s natural surrounds that take advantage of seasonal ingredients and locally-sourced meats and seafood.

An early-’til-late café will also operate as part of the restaurant with a focus on coffees, pastries and savoury items baked in a forno oven.
Victoria International Marina is comprised of 28 slips for luxury yachts spanning upwards of 180 feet in length and two ancillary buildings that include a mix of offices, concierge services, commercial space and private lounges for boat owners and crew within the east building and Boom + Batten in the west building.
After a length municipal approvals process that spanned several years, the marina, located on the harbourfront between Cooperate Place and Paul Kane Place, began construction in 2016 and welcomed its first vessels in early 2018. The project’s final phase will complete with the opening of Boom + Batten later this year. C
