Victoria-based Abstract Developments today celebrated the groundbreaking of the company’s fifth and largest condominium development, Black and White.
The six-storey, 75-unit woodframe building will soon rise at the corner of Fort and Cook streets, an area of downtown Victoria’s Harris Green neighbourhood Abstract has dubbed Upper Fort.
Buyers have already secured 75% of Black and White’s available units with a remaining collection of boutique homes expected to launch in the coming days.
“As Abstract’s largest and most exciting condominium development to-date, we’re thrilled to see the response to Black and White, not only from people who are directly interested in the project, but the surrounding community.” said Abstract president, Mike Miller.
“It’s rare to see new a development welcomed with such open arms, and for the most part Black and White has been just that. As of this morning, we’re excited to officially be 75% sold-out and we haven’t even commenced construction.”
Miller anticipates demolition and land excavation to continue until mid-winter with construction completion scheduled for late-2018.
Although Black and White’s ground floor retail tenant line-up has yet to be confirmed, Miller does say the building’s commercial assets will serve as unique neighbourhood draws. C
