Victoria-based Cox Developments is days away from a VIP unit preview and early purchasing opportunity for its 206-unit Harris Green condo project, 989.

Featuring two towers rising 15 and 17-storeys above the 900-block of Johnson Street and a six-level podium between them, developer Dan Cox says 989’s entry onto the pre-sale market will present one of Victoria’s most unique and sought after home ownership opportunities.

“Our VIP preview, starting this Wednesday, will give early registrants an opportunity to schedule appointments to review our floor plans and secure units in 989’s 15-storey west tower, and approximately half of the podium. And I can say with certainty that what we’re about to reveal will resonate throughout the market,” said Cox.

With 45 floor plans to choose from, Cox says buyers will have one of the most customized pre-sale purchasing opportunities of any condo offering in Victoria, and additional perks promise to set 989 even further apart from the competition.

“Our goal with the interior design was to consciously break away from the standard layouts that permeate throughout the local condo industry and present buyers with as much variety as possible,” Cox said, adding that all units include underground parking and many floor plans feature spacious balconies or terraces.

VIP registrants will receive priority purchasing rights on approximately 120 of the project’s one and two-bedroom homes ranging between 485 to 1,113 square feet. Several live-work spaces and two double-high ceiling lofts will also be available as part of the initial release.

Cox says introductory pricing will start at just below $300,000 and range north of $700,000 for the largest units.

“As part of the preview phase, initial pricing will start at $290,000 for our one-bedroom units sized at just above 500 square feet, rising to $730,000 for our largest two-bedroom homes. However, we do expect to adjust pricing prior to the launch of our show centre in January, so we most definitively have an incentive for buyers to register now and take advantage of the early release,” Cox said.

House hunters looking to schedule an appointment and an early purchasing opportunity are encouraged to register on 989’s website, here. Previews are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, November 9th at 989’s show centre on Johnson Street at Vancouver Street.

Across the street from the show centre the project’s site preparations are well underway with construction set to begin by early winter. Construction completion and occupancy are slated for late 2018.

“You can’t beat the location, the views will be incredible, and our layouts are going to set a new standard for Victoria. 989 has been a long time coming, and we’re beyond excited to be days away from presenting what so many Victorians have been waiting for,” Cox said. C
