Homebuyers can now take advantage of a market-leading 35-year mortgage amortization on move in-ready executive homes with suites in Langford’s Westview community, Citified has learned.

Hartshorne says the option of extending amortization by a ten-year period has made homeownership dreams at Westview a reality for numerous buyers who have been able to purchase a newly constructed single-family or townhome new-build with a full ‘2, 5 and 10’ year warranty, at a monthly payment they could afford, and with an attainable downpayment.
“As construction costs continue to rise and homebuyers balance ever-changing market conditions, an option like extending an amortization to 35 years from 25 presents a significant respite for monthly finances,” Hartshorne said, adding that “the industry is cognizant of the challenges homebuyers are facing, and together with reduced mortgage interest rates plus longer amortizations, lenders like RBC are making a tangible difference for homebuyers, especially in higher priced markets like Victoria.”

Although a reduction in monthly payments that a 35-year mortgage presents is already a meaningful financial advantage, the money-saving options at Westview don’t end there, Hartshorne notes.
For a limited time, several move in-ready single-family homes are available for purchase without GST, Hartshorne says, representing a considerable savings of just under $68,000 on a home valued at $1.35 million, further padding a buyer’s mortgage qualification.
Mica Place, meanwhile, features 18 detached homes (just five remain for sale) with legal suites, and a townhome collection (now sold-out). Located on a quiet cul-de-sac off Flint Avenue at Bear Mountain Parkway on the western slope of South Skirt Mountain, Mica Place is conveniently close to transportation, parks, transit, trails, shops and the amenities of Bear Mountain Resort.
