A former government office building in the 500-block of Pandora Avenue is in the midst of a conversion into rental apartments and ground floor retail spaces.
Victoria-based Cielo Properties is transforming the 1980’s-era four storey building at 595 Pandora Avenue in Old Town, sitting vacant since Service Canada moved to Douglas and Johnson Streets approximately two years ago, in to a five storey mixed-use residential and commercial development with 53 residences and 4,700 square feet of commercial space above a covered parking garage.
Rental homes will range between 580 and 1,500 square feet in one and two bedroom configurations on levels two-through-five. Balconies will be extended for units facing east and west on floors two-through-three while terraces will be available to units on floors four and five.
Ground floor commercial spaces will range between 580 and 2,000 square feet with frontage onto Pandora Avenue.
Completion is anticipated in the spring of next year. C
