A residential complex with a ground floor commercial component has been pitched for the site of a former gas station in Saanich's Cordova Bay neighbourhood.
Eyed for a long-vacant lot along the 5200-block of Cordova Bay Road at Fenn Avenue is a 24-unit, four-storey condominium with a single retail space fronting both thoroughfares.

The mid-market project will rise on a property once home to an Esso gas station (across from Cordova Bay Elementary) demolished a decade back.
31 surface parking stalls will surround the southern and eastern (rear) portion of the property with access off both roads, while bicycle parking will be situated on the ground floor adjacent to the retail space.
The project's architectural design at the hands of Victoria-based Cascadia Architects features a modern, light-coloured façade with expansive windows, recessed balconies and a stepped back fourth floor.
Curate Developments is handling the municipal planning process on behalf of the property's ownership group. The company is also pursuing a condominium proposal in Saanich's Shelbourne Valley along Christmas Avenue off Shelbourne Street.
Saanich's Cordova Bay Road strip has seen several development proposals in recent years, namely the recently approved redevelopment of a strip mall along the 5100-block, and on Doumac Road at Cordova Bay Road, where a 25-unit condominium building is proposed. C
