City of Victoria councillors have approved a five-storey mixed-use residential and commercial project on Cook Street at Oliphant Avenue in the Cook Street Village.
Victoria-based Urban Core Ventures plans to build 17-units of one-bedroom rental apartments – nine of which will be rented at 10% below market value – and 36 condo residences in one, two and three-bedroom layouts, including a series of groundfloor live-work and townhome units. A single commercial space will be situated at the intersection of Cook Street and Oliphant Avenue.
Developer Leonard Cole says project marketing will begin by early next year with a construction start slated for mid-2017. Completion is expected by mid-to-late 2018. C
