Zeroing in on a Tim Hortons coffee fix is about to get easier in downtown Victoria with the planned opening of a second location.
A former Telus mobility and business communications store along the 700-block of Fort Street will be converted to the popular fast-food chain, due to open its doors by late this year or by early 2018.
Situated next to Fort Street’s VanCity Credit Union branch, the eatery will be within 500 metres walking distance from the Blanshard and Johnson streets location that has operated at the base of the Juliet condominium complex for nearly a decade.
The news of downtown Victoria’s second Tim Hortons comes a year following the T’souke First Nation’s announcement that the first Tim Hortons west of Langford was slated to open by the spring of 2017 along the 6000-block of Sooke Road. Those plans, however, failed to materialize, as did a proposal from 2013 that would have seen the chain open a storefront along the 6500-block of Sooke Road. C
