The former location of Victoria’s Sports Traders sporting goods store is being transformed into a spooky retail outlet just in time for Halloween.

Halloween Alley is set to open next month in the 500-block of Discovery Street next to The Duke Saloon in the City of Victoria’s industrial Burnside-Gorge district.

Operators claim Halloween Alley will be the largest All Hallows Eve-themed store in the region with a full range of men’s, women’s and children’s getups together with accessories and decorative items.

In the run-up to October 31st the store will open between 9AM and 10PM Monday to Friday with 9:30AM to 6PM slated for Saturdays and 11AM to 5PM on Sundays.

Following an announcement in October of last year, Sports Traders closed its Victoria location earlier this summer after several decades in business. The Sports Traders brand continues to operate through independent dealers in Duncan, Maple Ridge and The Pas, Manitoba. C
