The official sales launch for Chard Development's The Yates on Yates condominium project in downtown Victoria’s Harris Green district is planned for noon on Canada Day, Citified has learned.
Slated to rise 20-storeys above the 800-block of Yates Street, the sleek and modern 116-unit mixed-use residential and ground floor commercial tower will be comprised of one, two and three-bedroom suites. A small collection of townhouses is set to be released at a later date.
With home layouts and designs often viewed as industry-leading statements in the local real-estate market, developer Byron Chard says a key component behind the appeal of Chard homes relates to incorporating the most coveted attributes of previous projects into the company’s latest pre-sale offerings.
"The Yates on Yates represents the culmination of over twelve years of our commitment to the downtown core and builds on every one of our past successes. Each one of our units has the distinction of featuring an integrated modern design that also retains years of best-practices developed in-hand with our purchasers," said Chard, who recently oversaw the completion of the company’s sixth residential building in the city, the 10-storey, 84-unit Escher on Broughton
Residences at The Yates on Yates will feature year-round comfort technology with in-suite air cooling and heating systems, heated floor tiles in ensuites or main baths, fully integrated appliance packages that include front-panel double or single dishwasher drawers, and wide plank oak-inspired laminate flooring throughout living areas.
Pricing for one-bedroom homes starts just below $400,000 with layouts sized between 523 and 549 square feet. Two-bedroom suites sized from 774 to 1,385 square feet are priced from $599,900.
Two 19th and 20th floor three-bedroom penthouses offer wrap-around floorplans with 1,761 square feet of living area. Pricing and finishing information is available at The Yates on Yates' sales centre.
Some 200 feet above the city streets, the tower’s 21st floor signature rooftop terrace will offer sweeping 360-degree views of downtown Victoria and beyond. Along with several lounges, an outdoor kitchen with a dual gas barbecue, a sink and a refrigerator will be available to residents. A dog run complete with a multi-use play area, plus an urban agriculture component, add to what promises to be a refined highrise outdoor space.
The Yates on Yates' sales centre is situated in the 600-block of Broughton Street. Starting July 1st, sales staff will be on-hand to answer questions and assist buyers between noon and 5PM daily, except Fridays. The sales centre will be closed on Monday, July 3rd.
Chard Development is currently building Yello on Yates
, a 209-unit purpose-built rental tower spanning the 800-blocks of Yates and View streets. The firm has completed six residential projects in downtown Victoria and James Bay since 2006. Following Yello’s completion, The Yates on Yates will be Chard’s eighth development in the Capital City. C
