One of Cowtown’s most highly acclaimed eateries has announced plans to enter Victoria’s breakfast diner industry, Citified has learned.
In a statement issued to Citified, OEB Breakfast Co.’s representative Mauro Martina confirms the chain’s third location, and its first outside of Calgary, is indeed eyed for the B.C. capital.
“We are currently looking into potential spaces and time frames to build a store in Victoria,” Martina said, adding that the company is “thrilled to [become] a part of the culinary scene in Victoria.”
Although OEB posted a photo on social media of Victoria's Fisherman's Wharf alongside a tagline hinting at its Victoria-bound expansion, the company is not saying whether the harbourside commercial district is indeed its intended location.
Founded in northeast Calgary in 2009, OEB introduced an avant-garde breaking dining experience to Alberta's largest city. The organization grew last year to include a second eatery in the city’s downtown core. OEB's Victoria location is expected to open by late 2017 or early 2018. C
