Victoria-based Foo Asian Street Food is Alberta bound as operators ready to open the eatery's second location, according to a source familiar with the plans.
Foo's Calgary location, at 2015 4th Street just south of the city's busy downtown core, opens later this week.
The (now) chain's first location opened in 2009 at the Dominion Rocket Residences, formerly the Dalton Hotel, at the intersection of Yates and Blanshard. In 2014 operators expanded the Foo concept to nearby Broughton Street with a noodle bar featuring Japanese ramen dishes, dubbed Foo Ramen Bar.

At the Victoria Public Market, Vancouver’s Vij’s Restaurant became the inspiration behind Vij’s Sutra, an Indian take-out spot. C
