An upper Quadra Street condominium development is now underway in Saanich with a sold-out status of 90%.

 

Comprised of 77 suites, Abstract Developments’ Cadence project will rise to six-storeys along the 3800-block of Quadra Street at Palmer Road, adding modern high density living along a frequent transit corridor between McKenzie Avenue and downtown Victoria.

 

Construction crews are currently undertaking rock blasting activities in preparation for the building's foundation work.

 

Cadence features a collection of one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes, plus resident amenities in the form of Commons at Cadence, an indoor and outdoor private area comprised of a lounge for socializing, co-working pods, a kitchenette with a pre-wired audio/visual system, and pathways throughout an expansive landscaped garden that incorporates quiet seating areas and a shared fire bowl.

Parking will be in the form of an underground parkade with ample capacity for vehicles, and residents will have access to a secure bicycle lock-up, a bicycle maintenance workshop area, and a cargo bicycle bike-share program.

 

A 2024 occupancy is targeted.

 

Meanwhile, the company is nearing the completion of its Oaklands neighbourhood condominium in the City of Victoria, known as Sparrow. 49-home, six-storey Sparrow (now sold-out) will achieve occupancy later this year on Cook Street at Hillside Avenue. Abstract is also in the pre-sales stage with its latest home offering, known as the Central Block condominium with 99-suites in a six-storey mixed-use build coming to the Gorge Waterway in Esquimalt at 1075 Tillicum Road.C
