The 50-plus room Tally-Ho Hotel in the 3000-block of Douglas Street has abruptly closed.

Customers arriving on Friday morning found the two-storey hotel complex had been shuttered, save for the Tally-Ho Sports Bar & Grill and the Hideaway Cafe which continue to operate.

No note was posted to the hotel’s main entrance or side exits, while the Tally-Ho’s social media accounts offer no information regarding the closure as of press time.

Until yesterday evening the Tally-Ho property had been listed for sale at $8.2 million on Realtor.ca. The listing expired on September 30th. C
